Purchasing a home was an almost overwhelming decision for me.   I had been considering the prospect of moving for a while.  I heard the stories of what people went through and I wasn’t sure I was ready to go through all of that stress. The nightmares of finding a buyer for your current home, home inspections, finding a lender, contract negotiation and closing were enough to keep me from wanting to go anywhere. 

I was talking about my frustrations with Brian one day and he mentioned that he had recently obtained his real estate license. When he told me that, it was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.  I have been working with Brian for a little over 5 years and have come to know him as an ethical, hard working, detailed oriented person.  I did not have to think twice about asking Brian to help me with selling my condo and buying a new home.  Brian explained to me exactly what I needed to do in order to get my condo ready for sale.  He even provided me with a DVD on the subject.  We had an open house the first Sunday in September and by the end of the week we had a buyer.  Brian was there during the home inspection, he went down the list with me and explained everything and even helped with some of the repairs.  When it was time to sign contracts, Brian made sure I understood everything and if he wasn’t sure of an answer, he made sure he had information for me within a day.  Closing for my condo was very easy and stress free because Brian made sure I understood every step of the process.  He made a potentially nerve-racking situation, an almost enjoyable one!!

When I was ready to look for a new home, Brian helped me find a lender.  I trusted this lender because I trusted Brian’s judgment, and sure enough, I was pleasantly surprised with the loan service I received.  When the amount of house I could afford was determined, and the type of house and area was decided upon, Brian wasted no time in finding several options for me.  Brian was helpful when we were looking at houses.  He pointed out potential repair problems and made sure I stuck to my “wish list.”  He did not want me to settle for anything less than what I wanted.  I found the home I was looking for on the first day, in fact, it was the first house that we went to!  We put an offer on the house right away and it was accepted.  Throughout the whole process, Brian was there to make sure everything went smoothly and that I did not stress.  Although I must say, buying a house in my opinion was easier than selling!!!!  The home inspector that Brian contacted for me was amazing!!  He took the time to go over everything and was happy to answer any question.  Although the seller’s real estate agent was not the easiest to get along with, Brian was very calm and patient each time we had to contact her.  In the end, the settlement went great and I now have a wonderful new (well, new to me) townhome in a great neighborhood.  I don’t think I would have been as happy with the whole experience if I didn’t have Brian there to go through it with me.  I have and will continue to recommend Brian to everyone I know who will be looking to buy or sell their home.
